A gas furnace is a chain of steps: the thermostat calls, the inducer starts, the igniter lights, the flame proves, the blower comes on. If any one link fails, the furnace stops or short-cycles. Diagnosing that chain methodically is what separates a repair that lasts from a repeat visit.
We repair furnaces common in Delaware County and Philadelphia homes, from older standard-efficiency units to modern high-efficiency models. We will tell you what failed, what it takes to fix it and whether repair is the sensible choice.

Common questions
Why is my furnace blowing cold air?
Common causes are a failed igniter or flame sensor that shuts the burners off, a tripped limit switch or a thermostat set to fan only. A technician can pinpoint it quickly.
Should I repair or replace an old furnace?
Age, repair cost and efficiency all matter. Our calculator on the home page gives a rule-of-thumb answer, and a technician will give an honest opinion on site.
Is a yellow flame in my furnace dangerous?
A steady blue flame is normal. A yellow or flickering flame can mean incomplete combustion. Turn the furnace off and call for service, and leave the house if you suspect carbon monoxide.
