Reach-in units live in the busiest, hottest part of a kitchen, which is hard on their condensers and doors. Grease-laden air clogs the condenser coil, hinges sag, gaskets crack and the unit works harder until something gives.
We repair single-, two- and three-door reach-ins, both refrigerators and freezers. Many reach-in problems are inexpensive to fix when caught early, so call when the unit first starts running warm or noisy.

Common questions
Why is my reach-in cooler not staying cold?
The most common causes are a dirty condenser coil, a failed fan motor, torn gaskets and doors left ajar. A bad thermostat or low refrigerant can also be the cause.
How often should I clean the condenser on a reach-in?
In a busy kitchen, every month or two is a good rule because grease and dust build up fast. A clean condenser extends compressor life and lowers energy use.
Is it worth repairing an older reach-in cooler?
Often, yes. If the cabinet and doors are in good shape, a repair such as a fan motor or controller usually costs far less than replacement. We will tell you honestly when replacement makes more sense.
